GLYD Electric are on a mission to help UK motorists make the transition from traditional fuels to electric transport with the greatest of ease. Our team have hand-selected the best products available, from electric vehicle charging points, to electric bikes and escooters. With fuel prices at an all time high, there's no doubt the future is electric, and GLYD are here to help you prepare. 

From June 15th 2022, all new houses with an allocated parking space are to be built with an electric vehicle (ev) charge point as standard. This is a great start, however the vast majority of the UK homes are still not prepared for electric vehicles, and GLYD have made it simple and affordable for owners of older homes to make the change.

There is no doubt that electric scooters will become a reliable and fun form of transport for many commuters and people making short-distance journeys in the near future, and GLYD Electric are keen to see this new and convenient form of personal transport become a reality. It is important to note that privately owned electric scooters are not currently allowed to be used on pavements or pedestrianised areas as they presently fall into the class of 'powered vehicles'. They can also not be used on the roads, as operating a powered vehicle on the highways requires a license. Subject to recent trials across the UK, new legislation is presently being drafted that will govern the use of electric scooters, bridging the gaps in present laws, and creating the necessary classifications and regulations that will enable electric scooters to be used for personal transport. As new laws are introduced, we will endeavour to update the information on our website where applicable.
